SEMITOOL REPORTS FIRST QUARTER BOOKINGS OF $63.8 MILLION, UP 42% FROM COMPARABLE 2007 QUARTER

Semitool, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMTL), a leading manufacturer of wafer processing equipment for the semiconductor industry, today announced that bookings for the first quarter ended December 31, 2007 were $63.8 million, up 42 percent from bookings of $45.0 million in the same quarter a year ago.
